Album of the week: Erik Hassle “Hassle”

My favourite swedish singer Erik Hassle finally released his debut album, the phenomenal “Hassle”.  After the fantastic single “Hurtful” and his great showcase in Stockholm in spring, my expectations were very high. And he didn`t disappoint me, far from it, the album contains of 12 hits, none the less! His strong voice, great lyrics and wonderful melodies, that is how pop music has to be like!

Besides the singles “Hurtful” and “Don`t Bring Flowers After I`m Dead”, Hassle could release almost every song as future singles. If  “Wanna Be Loved By You”, the Prince driven “Feels Like The First Time”, “Isn`t It Obvious”, “Love Me To Pieces” or “Bitter End”, all have big hit potential. Wonderful and pure is the ballad “The Thanks I Get”, which was the b-side of “Hurtful”. The album has just been released in Sweden, reached number 2 in the album charts first week and will be released with a different cover and title (Pieces) in the UK in November 2009. It`s not only my album of the week, it has the potential to become my record of the year!
