Delphic are a band from Manchester who are signed to Polydor.  There is a big hype about them in the UK at the moment. After a couple of singles (the lastest the fantastic “Doubt”), they just released their debut album “Acolyte”, which went straigt into the Top 10 of the British album charts.

The band is one of the 15 shortlisted music acts for the BBC Sounds of 2010. The album is a great mixture of 10 pure pop songs with wonderful melodies, all songs could be used in movies, cos they sound they are made for the big screen. There are some great tracks to dance to like “This Momentary”, “Counterpoint” and the title track “Acolyte”, a brilliant song over 8 minutes long and mostly instrumental. You hear influences by bands like New Order, no wonder, they are coming from Manchester too.

Definately a band who will become very big this year.  They are playing a big tour in the UK this month and some European dates in February 2010.
