Bruno Mars will become huge!

2010/07/08

He has one of the best soul voices of our time. Bruno Mars (24), originally from Hawaii, is featured on many hit singles at the moment. You can hear the producer, singer and writer on B.oB`s “Nothing On You” or on Travie McCoy`s big summer hit “Billionaire”.

Mars (real name Peter Hernandez) was raised in a very musical family, his father,  a Latin percussionist from Brooklyn, organized a Vegas-style revue that featured the entire family, including his mother, a talented vocalist. Honololu was an exciting place for the singer who was singing from an very early age, old Motown stuff or Elvis Presley songs. He is influenced by reggae, folk and rock music and pop.

Bruno moved to Los Angeles to start his career and founded the songwriting/production team “The Smeezingtons” with Philip Lawrence and Ari Levine. They wrote lots of hits like Flo Rida`s “Right Round” or Brandy`s “Long Distance”, the world cup hit for K`Naan, “Waving Flag” amongst others.

There is an EP out called “It`s Better If You Don`t Understand” with 4 fantastic tracks which show the talent of this genius who will release his debut album later in 2010.

Bruno Mars will be on tour in the US this fall with Maroon 5 and One Republic. This guy will become huge, i promise you.

Check out “Talking To The Moon” from his EP:
