Another highlight before the year 2010 is coming to an end, is the new long awaited album from british singer Natasha Bedingfield.
Bedingfield (originally from New Zealand, raised in Britain) has been very successful the last years. She released two fantastic albums, “Unwritten” and “N.B.”, both big sellers. She did even conquer the US and is the only british singer after Kim Wilde (“You Keep Me Hangin´On”), who stormed the US charts and had a number 1 hit. Natasha got several music awards and a Grammy nomination.
Natasha did work a lot in the US the last year and worked with musicians like Ryan Tedder (One Republic), Brian Kennedy (Rihanna), Wyclef Jean, Sam Sparro, Kevin Rudolph and lots of other talented people for the new record. Besides the great single “Strip Me”, Natasha convinces with her great voice and very strong pop songs like “Little Too Much”, “Weightless”, “Touch”, “No Mozart” and the fantastic ballads “Break Thru” and “Recover”. Great step forward for Natasha, more up-tempo songs with more beats than on her former records. And always her beautiful voice in the centre of the songs which has a high recogniton value.
Natasha is doing lots of TV appearances this week in the US like the Today show (today), Regis&Kelly (tomorrow) and Jay Leno on Thursday.
Vincent Frank alias Frankmusik is back in the music world with the first single from his second album. The song is called “The Fear Inside” and he just released the video for it.
His first album “Complete Me” was one of the best electronic pop music albums in 2009 with excellent songs like “Confusion Girl”, “Better Of As 2” and “3 Little Words”. He did remixes for lots of other artists like Lady GaGa, PetShopBoys, Mika, Ellie Goulding and many more.
2011 sees the release of his second album “Do It In the AM”. He did move to LA and worked there the last months producing the new album. The first single, “’The Fear Inside’ is a song about relieving the pressures and complications of the modern world through the strength of a close and intimate relationship, says Frankmusik. It´s a great pop song which grows on you the more you listen to it. 2011 should be finally the year Frankmusik is going big time!
The video to the single was shot in LA and you can watch it here:
Our beloved duo Hurts from Manchester, Theo Hutchcraft (singer) and Adam Anderson (keyboards) are giving us a special xmas gift and release a nice xmas song. It`s called “All I Want For Christmas Is New Years Day”, a typical Hurts song, nice melancholic melody, this time with lots of bells and a great video with lots of snow. It`s fo funny what comes out of the grave in the video. The single is out on December, 14th.
Have a look yourself here or at the bands website:
The band had a great year releasing their fabulous album “Happiness” which stormed the European charts and their shows were sold out everywhere. The band is currently on tour in the UK and will continue touring the world next year.
Belgian singer, songwriter Milow, who had a European number 1 hit with his cover of the Justin Timberlake/50 cent/Timbaland hit “Ayo Technology” in 2008, is back with the first new song “Never Gonna Stop” from his next album “North & South”, which will be out in spring 2011.
The new nice song is out in Belgium today and the video was shot in South Africa. It`s not his official new single, because all the money goes to charity to Music For Life 2010, a fundraising charity event of Belgian radio station Studio Brussel and Belgian Red Cross-Flanders to help improve the future of AIDS orphans. That`s a nice one from Milow.

After his 2 hit singles “Please Don`t Le Me Go” and “Thinking Of Me”, british singer Olly Murs is here with his debut album. Olly, who is of Latvian descent, is from Witham, Essex and took part in the 6th series of X-Factor in the UK where he came second. His smile is very contagious and his voice is very nice and reminds me of Will Young`s voice a lot.
The album starts with a George Michael kind of “Faith” song, called “Change Is Gonna Come”, excellent pop. After the 2 singles you get lots of other great pop songs like “I Blame Hollywood”, “Hold On” and the great “A Million More Years”.
The album is a great mix of pop and reggae and soul tunes. It is great to see that Olly and his production and songwriter team took a long time before releasing his debut album. The album has more a summer than a winter sound, which is even better to get warm feelings this winter. Well done Olly!
Olly Murs will tour the UK in April and May 2011.
Florrie is a great, good looking 21 year old singer and drummer from London. Her first EP “Introduction” is out now and you can download the 4 songs for free on Florrie`s page.
Florrie started drumming when she was 7, she also plays the guitar and is singing since she is 12. She is working a lot with the Xenomania label (Girls Aloud etc) and did play drums on lots of releases from that label. Now she is concentrating on her own music and the 4 songs are sounding very promising.
Here is a video for “Give Me Your Love”, one of the songs from the great EP, filmed during a gig in September 2010:
He is definately someone to watch out for in 2011, UK singer Japayork from London is releasing his great new single “Teenagers” in the UK on December, 5th. A great pop song from this cute 23 year old singer, who is signed to the Popjustice label. Good choice to sign this talented artist. Will be interesting to hear what he has to offer for us in the new year.
